FIZZ FRIDAY - Paint Canal Boat Roses - Friday 25th April - 7pm - 9pm

Join us and enjoy a glass of prosecco whilst discovering the charm of traditional British waterways art as you learn to paint beautiful canal roses in this hands-on workshop.

Kat will guide you through the traditional techniques used in canal art, showing you how to construct a classic rose using acrylic paints and brushes. You’ll create a stunning cluster of roses on both a card and a heart-shaped ornament—perfect for decorating your home or gifting to a loved one.

This session is ideal for beginners who want to explore this folk art style while learning about its rich history and distinctive designs. You'll practice the essential ‘comma stroke,’ a fundamental brush technique that gives canal roses their iconic look. Step by step, you'll build your design—starting with a base disc, adding shadows, leaves, veins, and finally, delicate rose petals - staying true to the time-honoured traditions of British waterways art.

By the end of the workshop, you'll take home a beautifully hand-painted card and a charming hanging heart ornament, along with the skills to continue painting in this delightful style.

You may however be able to nominate someone else to attend the workshop in your place. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to sickness or insufficient places sold.  If we have to cancel you will be refunded the full amount paid or given the option to transfer your booking to another workshop.
